Dr Brock Medlar

Originally from Canada, Dr Brock Medlar moved to Australia to pursue his medical career, completing his medical degree at the University of Wollongong. He subsequently completed his specialist training in General Practice, achieving Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP). Now settled in Port Macquarie with his young family, Dr Brock is committed to building his long-term medical career here in our beautiful region.

Dr Brock has a particular interest in skin cancer medicine and surgery. He has completed a dedicated skin cancer training term during his General Practice training, as well as postgraduate certificates in dermoscopy and skin cancer medicine through the Skin Cancer College Australasia (SCCA).

As part of the SunCheck team, Dr Brock works closely with Dr Jonathan Gordon, FSCCA, continuing to develop his expertise in skin cancer diagnosis, management and surgery through ongoing education, clinical collaboration and mentorship.

With a strong focus on patient-centred care, Dr Brock values thorough skin examinations, early detection and clear communication. He takes time to explain his findings and involve patients in their care, helping them feel comfortable, informed and confident in their treatment decisions.

Outside of medicine, Dr Brock enjoys spending time with his young family and making the most of the great outdoors.
